Part-Time Woodshop Specialist The Part-Time Woodshop Specialist (20-25 hours per week) is a hands-on fabrication expert who plays a key role across multiple teams at Kreg. This position brings ideas to life through woodworking, prop-building, and set construction, while maintaining a fully equipped and organized woodshop. With a strong attention to detail and an understanding of woodworking fundamentals, this position ensures our creative studio is production-ready and equipped to capture inspiring, high-quality content that represents the Kreg brand. The ideal candidate combines strong craftsmanship, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset. They have the autonomy to execute builds, propose project ideas, and maintain a safe, efficient, and well-stocked shop - all while ensuring projects meet professional quality and align to the Kreg brand. So, What's the Gig? Build and fabricate furniture-scale projects, woodworking builds, and studio sets that support photo and video production needs. Contribute to the creation of eye-catching trade show displays and props ensuring they effectively showcase our products and enhance our presence at industry events. Collaborate with the creative, marketing and other teams to interpret design direction and translate visual concepts into physical builds. Contribute ideas for projects and builds that highlight Kreg tools and techniques in inspiring, brand-aligned ways. Execute woodworking and fabrication tasks with professional craftsmanship — ensuring all projects are visually polished and camera-ready. Responsible for the operation of both manual and automated saws and woodworking tools in strict accordance with established standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and efficient production environment. Perform finishing tasks including sanding, staining, and painting. Maintain full responsibility for Kreg's woodshops, including organization, equipment upkeep, tool calibration, and material inventory. Maintain an organized stock of lumber, hardware, and consumable materials, proactively tracking usage and reordering supplies as needed to ensure project readiness. Ensure a safe, clean, and organized workspace that reflects Kreg's commitment to craftsmanship and precision. Carry out routine equipment maintenance as required by the preventive maintenance schedule. Assist with on-set setup and teardown, ensuring props and builds are properly staged and visually consistent. Work both independently and collaboratively, maintaining open communication with teams to ensure projects stay aligned with strategy and timelines. Support HR initiatives by preparing and managing new employee build projects, ensuring materials, tools and workspaces are ready for onboarding experiences. Partner with the Sales and Product teams to fabricate product demo rigs, test fixtures and durable shipping crates. Document new woodworking builds and processes through simple photos and text for inclusion as project plans on kregtool.com
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training or apprenticeship in woodworking, carpentry, or a related field is highly beneficial. Demonstrated ability in operating manual and automated saws, as well as a wide range of woodworking tools. In-depth understanding of woodworking product specifications, benefits, and applications.

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine equipment maintenance. Effective teaching and mentoring skills to provide guidance and support to employees as they grow in their own woodworking journey. Ability to analyze and evaluate the performance of Kreg tools and competitor products to provide valuable insights for improvement. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills for providing feedback and training. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety protocols. Strong problem-solving abilities to address equipment issues and recommend improvements. A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in product assembly and testing.
