Job Description
McKenna, a locally owned and expanding photographic printing company, is hiring for a light manufacturing production position. We are looking for those with a keen eye for detail and take pride in handmade products as they build top-of-the-line leather albums and other photographic products especially made for professional photographers. The Albums Production Associate is responsible for the production, finishing, and quality inspection of custom albums and related products. Employees in this role perform a variety of production tasks and are expected to rotate through departmental functions as needed to support workflow, production schedules, and quality standards (examples include, book and cover assembly, stamping, gilding, and repair). Perform album production and finishing tasks according to company quality standards and production requirements Operate album assembly equipment (such as stamping and gilding machines) and participate in shared workflow responsibilities Feed, position, handle, and process album materials through production machinery and workstations Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and workmanship Maintain productivity and workflow efficiency within the department Rotate among assigned departmental duties as needed to support production demands Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines Maintain organized and clean work areas Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding workflow, production issues, and quality concerns Rotate to and back-up other production departments as needed Successful candidates will have the following qualifications: Enjoy being part of a fast-paced environment Be a reliable team player with a positive and professional attitude Highly detail oriented Strong math aptitude Ability to stand, bend, and walk around for at least 8 hours per day Meet attendance and scheduling requirements No previous experience necessary; we will train but experience in an assembly production environment a plus. The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Ability to stand, bend and walk-around throughout the work shift Frequent and dexterous use of hands and arms for repetitive motions and material handling Frequent reaching, grasping, lifting, and positioning of materials Ability to perform basic rotational and light twisting/torsional movements during machine operation and workflow tasks Ability to lift and move materials and products up to 20 pounds Visual ability to inspect products for quality and accuracy McKenna has been in the photographic imaging business for well over 50 years and provides a full line of products to professional photographers across the United States and Canada.
