Job Description

RFA Engineering ( www.rfamec.com ) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility. Manufacturing Support Specialist - Cost Tracking The Manufacturing Support Specialist will play a key role in supporting Engineering and Manufacturing teams by tracking, analyzing, and reporting project costs. This position focuses on maintaining cost visibility across projects, identifying variances, and ensuring accurate financial data to support decision-making. While an engineering background is not required, familiarity with engineering and manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities :
Track and maintain project cost data across multiple engineering and manufacturing initiatives Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to gather cost inputs, updates, and forecasts Develop and maintain cost tracking tools, dashboards, and reports using Microsoft Excel Monitor project budgets and identify cost variances, risks, and trends Support cost estimation and forecasting activities for ongoing and future projects Assist in improving cost tracking processes, tools, and data accuracy Compile and present cost summaries and insights to project stakeholders Ensure timely and accurate reporting aligned with project milestones and business needs
Requirements :
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis Experience working in or supporting manufacturing and/or engineering environments Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and analyze large data sets Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desired Attributes:
Experience with cost tracking, budgeting, or financial reporting Familiarity with ERP systems or project cost management tools Exposure to engineering or manufacturing project workflows Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
Pay Range:
$55,000-$75,000 - Commensurate with experience About RFA Engineering RFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943. Our primary focus is the development of off highway equipment including agricultural, construction, mining, recreational, industrial, and special machines. Our work includes concept development, product design, documentation, problem-solving, simulation, optimization, and testing of components, systems and complete machines. Our engineering staff is located at our Engineering Center in Minneapolis, branch office in Dubuque, IA, and at numerous customer sites throughout the U.S.
