Sonac , a leading producer of reliable, sustainable ingredients for the food, pet food and feed industries, is seeking Manufacturing Production Operators to join their team in Maquoketa, IA . If you have a high school diploma or equivalent , you are motivated to come to work and learn new skills , and can work weekends , this is the opportunity for you! Previous Manufacturing/operator experience is a plus but not required

The average Operator with Sonac is earning just over $6 0 , 000 /yr in total compensation (hourly rate + other benefits considered .) Starts at $18/hr for day shift hours on Monday
• Friday.

Earn an extra $1.25/hr for working nights! Night shift starts at $19.25/hr.

Saturdays:

Earn $21/ hr during the day, $22.25/ hr at night

Sundays:

Earn $24/ hr during the day, $25.25/ hr at night Pay for

Skills Program:

As become cross trained, you will earn more as you master new skills. You can end up earning up to an extra $7/hr with the program!

Schedule:

The schedule for this role is 6 days on, 2 days off. Weekends are required. 1st shift hours: 8:00am

• 4:00pm 2nd shift hours: 4:00pm
• 12:00am (Earn an extra $1.25/hr!) 3rd shift hours: 12:00am

Enjoy a bright, stable future in a recession proof industry. Essential duties/ responsibilities : Operate various separating, drying, and/or bagging equipment. Operate equipment and Dryers to the require efficiency. Monitor equipment and process to accomplish process. Follow production standard operating procedures (SOP's) as instructed. Respond to process upsets and alarms appropriately. Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift. Responsible for TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) in appropriate areas. Participate in monthly training sessions for Safety, Quality & Food Defense. Maintain safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. Participate in Lean Manufacturing Training and partake in Internal Audits. As trained, be aware of and responsible for their role in Darling's food safety program. All other duties as assigned.
