Job Description
Packaging Contractor Operators are responsible for performing routine tasks to maintain the supply of materials to packaging equipment, as well as provide safe operations of the equipment used to package goods into containers. The requirements for this position involve the willingness to work in a warehouse with occasional outside work which includes frequent walking and standing. This warehouse work includes working indoors in warm conditions during the summer months. Position sometimes requires willingness to climb with the ability to perform elevated work utilizing portable ladders. This position involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting up to 60 lbs. Packaging Operator:
Operate forklift to load and unload materials and containers (this also requires unloading stacked empty containers by hand) 60-70% of the job will be forklift Operate packaging equipment, including monitoring container filling operations, applying proper cap, seal, and label to finished containers to meet proper specifications Operate forklift to remove full containers from assembly line and stack in warehouse Operate computer scanning programs for managing materials and product in and out of warehouse inventory Label containers to required specifications Other duties can and will be assigned Candidates need to be flexible to accept other general labor tasks Requirements of thePackaging Operator:
Forklift experience Willingness to take direction Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check Must be available to work an 8-hour Monday- Friday swing Schedule for the
Packaging Operator:
2 weeks of days- 7am-3pm 1 week of evenings
- 3:00p-11:00pm 1 week of nights
- 11:00pm-7:00am Monday thru Friday work schedule
