Production Worker at Volt Production Worker at Volt in West Des Moines, Iowa Posted in 6 days ago. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Move forward with Volt! Volt is hiring multiple Production Workers for an aerospace company located in West Des Moines, IA. As a Production Worker you will: Set up and operate testing equipment to inspect nozzles, spray bars, and valves for spray quality, flow, and angle according to specifications. Operate production equipment, including laser markers and printers, following established procedures and quality standards. Record test results, spray parameters, and product performance data by serial number while maintaining accurate production documentation. Assist with the assembly, calibration, repair, and disassembly of mechanical components and sub-assemblies under supervision. Follow standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with company standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support workplace safety programs. Work collaboratively with lead technicians, supervisors, and engineers to resolve issues and complete production goals. This is a full time position. Multiple shifts available!
The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform assembly and calibration-related tasks. Basic computer skills, including email, internet use, and the ability to learn manufacturing software and work instruction systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and work instructions (or willingness to learn). Basic math, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment. Manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Willingness to work overtime, extended shifts, non-standard schedules, and occasional holidays as business needs require.
Pay Rate :
$18 - $20 per hour
