General Production Worker Job Description We are looking for diligent and flexible individuals to join our production team as General Production Workers. The role involves packaging labor and supporting operations at both of our modern facilities. Responsibilities Cap and lid bottles efficiently. Bottle products into boxes and cases. Sort and separate finished products. Pack jugs and bottles into boxes. Lift and stage boxes for processing. Palletize and wrap boxes and containers. Operate sealer machinery for packaging. Perform quality inspections by counting and sorting. Tag and label products and boxes accurately. Pull cases off the line and stack them on pallets. Wrap and stage cases and boxes for shipping. Work on multiple lines to package products. Assist operators with batch mixing and janitorial tasks. Document all orders precisely. Handle drums and totes safely. Lift up to 55 lbs as needed. Participate in housekeeping duties when production lines are down. Essential Skills Experience in packaging, lifting, and sorting products. Ability to perform multiple jobs and work in various areas. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. Manufacturing experience. Wearing steel toe boots is a requirement. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing is a plus. Work Environment The Alsip facility is a modern, clean, and temperature-controlled site recently remodeled, with a smaller workforce and organized operations. The Chicago Heights facility, while older, is also temperature-controlled and houses a larger workforce with more production lines, offering a dynamic and bustling work environment. Safety is a priority at both locations, and the chemicals used are not harmful. Both facilities provide organized inventory management and excellent employee benefits. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $18.45/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
