Daytime Confections Production Associate — Kilwins Burr Ridge

Looking for a consistent weekday daytime role where you actually enjoy the work? Kilwins Burr Ridge is an owner-operated confections shop at the Burr Ridge Village Center. We make fudge, caramels, chocolates, waffle cones, and other treats fresh in-store, and we're looking for a reliable daytime team member to help with production. This is a hands-on kitchen role. You'll learn artisan confection techniques, including cooking fudge and caramel in a copper kettle, dipping and decorating chocolates, making caramel apples, and packaging everything for the shop floor. Our kitchen is clean, organized, and smells like chocolate, not a fryer. No prior kitchen experience needed. We'll train you. You'll work directly with the owners in a small, focused team. You'll know who you're working for, and they'll know you. We respect your time and trust you to do your work. Schedule We're specifically looking for someone available for weekday daytime shifts (roughly 9 AM to 3 PM range). Weekend availability is a plus but not required. Expect 15 to 25 hours per week with a consistent schedule. What the role involves Preparing confections following Kilwins recipes and procedures Operating kitchen equipment including copper kettles for fudge and caramel production Dipping and decorating chocolates and caramel apples Packaging finished products for display and sale Supporting the front of house during busy stretches as needed Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and up to food safety standards Restocking ingredients and supplies as needed What we're looking for Reliable and consistent. You show up when you say you will. Comfortable on your feet for extended periods and able to lift up to 50 lbs Detail-oriented with repetitive tasks. This work rewards patience and care.
