FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Welding Team Member to work on the production line. This position involves being a Machine Operator to a welding machine by placing automotive parts into a machine to be welded automatically. No welding experience is necessary. Essential Job Functions Perform process evaluation by completing forms prior to shift or operating machines Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components Load workpieces into welding machines Start, monitor, and adjust robotic welding production lines Turn and press buttons to start welding machines Install appropriate electrode size and type, tips, and welding rod or wire Remove part from welding machines and place final products into containers Record operational information on specified production reports Test and visually inspect completed workpieces for defects or quality issues, using leak tests Use hand tools, such as hammers, chisels, wrenches, and wire cutters Notify Maintenance or Team Leader to correct problems with machine operation Follow written instructions from Quality Control to ensure conformance with specifications Notify Quality Control of any defective parts Follow standard work instructions Perform other duties assigned Other Job Functions Comply with FIC's Safety policies and procedures Comply with IATF 16949 andISO 14001

$16/hour - $18/hour, based on qualifications and experienceAdditional Compensation:
