Shift Pay:
$18.11/hour + $0.75/hour shift differential
Shift:
2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:00
PM Overtime:
Mandatory overtime at the end of the shift when available
Saturdays:
Occasional Position Summary Advance Services is hiring Utility Workers for a manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position assisting with various production operations throughout the plant. The Utility Worker serves as a floater , helping different production areas as needed based on staffing, production volume, vacations, and call-offs. Responsibilities Assist production operators with daily manufacturing activities Feed and stack corrugated materials into production machines Assist with machine setups and production runs Inspect products for quality and remove defective materials Stack, bundle, and prepare finished products Assist with gluing, labeling, die-cutting, flexo, and feeding operations Move materials and loads throughout the production area Use basic hand tools as needed Maintain a safe and clean work area Follow all plant safety and quality procedures Be willing to work in different production areas as assigned Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding manufacturing position .
Candidates must be able to:
Stand for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours during a shift Repetitively lift up to 50 pounds for certain production duties Regularly lift and move materials Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and walk throughout the shift Use hands for handling and operating materials and equipment Work around moving mechanical equipment and vibration Work in a manufacturing environment that can be very loud and hot The specific physical requirements may vary depending on the production area assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred/required per client requirements Good communication skills Basic counting skills Ability to read a tape measure Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Manufacturing or production experience is a plus Forklift experience is a plus Must be dependable and willing to work overtime when required Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise. Temperatures inside the plant may become hot during the summer months.
