Full Job Description Part-Time Theater Production Assistant Hourly Rate:
$17.62 This position is an on-campus, part-time, up-to 19-hours per week appointment based in Champaign, Illinois. Applications accepted until the position is filled. The Theater Production Assistant is responsible for assisting the Theater Director with day-to-day operations and tasks related to all areas of theatrical production. The Production Assistant will also serve as a line of communication for all production personnel during auditions, rehearsals, and performances. The Production Assistant is an appointment on a schedule established by the Theater Director/Artistic Director. Internal and external events may require an altered work schedule.

Resume or CV Essential Job Functions:
Work with the Operations Assistant in scheduling rehearsals, meetings, and performances in theatre spaces. Assist with updating community calendars with Parkland Theatre Production information. Assist in organizing information pertaining to data entry, playbills, new hire paperwork, volunteers, guest artists, and community season information. Maintain and distribute scripts to cast and guest artists. Serve on Season selection committee. Attend and schedule all production meetings. Assist in coordinating Parkland College's auditions. Serve as a contact to all guest artists and staff to share and distribute information. Serve as alternate for front of house and ticket booth staff. Assist in creating social media and marketing content. Serve as a line of communication for all production personnel. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. 18 years of age or older. Capable of following instructions and work well with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with individuals from various backgrounds. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous projects while working independently and on a team. Literate in Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to work flexible and varied hours. Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.
