The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various shop operations, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires mechanical knowledge and experience with power tools, hand tools, and assembly line tasks. Responsibilities Use the band saw for cutting a variety of different materials -steel, plastic, wood Clean up chip pans from the manual machines Moving parts around the shop properly Organize extra stock for jobs Arrange, stack and organize extra materials used for setting up and fixtures Forklift experience required Overhead crane experience desired Follow and adhere to all safety precautions and policies Sweeping floors, miscellaneous cleaning when needed Deburring - use hand grinder a plus Must hold a valid driving license to drive company vehicle/trucks All other duties as assigned Prep materials for outside service Help Shop Drive load and unload Able to drive company truck as needed Able to lift 25 lbs. are above Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or machine shop is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and assembly line processes. Ability to operate a forklift safely; certification is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks as needed.
