About the Role As a Logistics and Production Support Specialist, you will serve as a vital link in our manufacturing operations by managing material flow and supporting the assembly of high-quality steel vessels. You will utilize your expertise in material handling and equipment operation to ensure that production teams have the resources they need to meet critical project deadlines. Responsibilities Coordinate the staging, transport, and organization of raw materials and components to optimize production workflows. Support the fabrication process by assisting in the construction of steel vessels and performing essential shop floor tasks. Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and overhead cranes, to safely move large-scale materials throughout the facility. Maintain rigorous quality standards by assisting in the inspection of incoming goods and documenting inventory levels accurately. Execute specialized surface preparation tasks, such as sandblasting, to ensure finished products meet technical specifications. Collaborate with fitters, welders, and management to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Uphold a high standard of workplace safety and organization by maintaining equipment and ensuring work areas remain clear of hazards. Required Skills Proven ability to operate industrial material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret technical measurements and use a tape measure. Reliable work ethic characterized by punctuality and the ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions. Physical stamina required to perform manual labor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Prior experience operating shop machinery, including band saws and drill presses. Demonstrated experience in inventory management and physical stock counting procedures. A proactive approach to learning new manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
