Job purpose The Post-Harvest Technician will work in all areas of post-harvest, including but not limited to bucking and trimming. This role is essential to maintaining production flow while ensuring cannabis flower meets Grown Rogue quality standards. Key Duties and Responsibilities Buck harvested cannabis plants according to established SOPs and handling standards. Hand-trim cannabis flower to meet company quality specifications for appearance, structure, and consistency. Handle all cannabis material carefully to preserve flower quality, trichomes, and overall presentation. Maintain daily production goals while meeting established quality expectations. Support harvest schedules by moving efficiently between bucking, trimming, and other assigned post-harvest tasks. Accurately separate flower, trim, stems, and waste according to company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workstation throughout each shift. Follow all sanitation, safety, and compliance procedures, including Illinois cannabis regulations and METRC requirements. Assist with weighing, tracking, labeling, and documenting production batches as required. Inspect flower throughout processing and report quality concerns or abnormalities to the Post-Harvest Lead or Manager. Identify workflow bottlenecks, equipment issues, or opportunities to improve efficiency. Assist with cleaning equipment, work areas, and processing rooms following established cleaning schedules. Cross-train in additional post-harvest functions as needed to support operational success. Perform other duties as assigned to support post-harvest operations. Required Competencies and Skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing premium-quality cannabis products. Excellent manual dexterity and comfort performing repetitive hand movements. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks. Basic math skills for weighing product and tracking production. Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment. Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist coworkers as production priorities change. Ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Willingness to learn new processes and accept coaching to improve performance. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all company policies and state regulations.
