Welder / Helper

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Welder / Helper and become a vital part of our fabrication and construction projects! This position is for welding/fabricating in our shop. When there isn't fabrication to do, you will be helping install or maintain piping systems. You may also do odd jobs around the shop. Responsibilities Weld outlets on black carbon steel pipe Perform MIG, and/or stick welding Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively Assist with rigging, and material handling using forklifts or other lifting devices to move heavy components Measure materials precisely with tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in fabrication Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction sites, welding practices, and equipment operation Helping to install or maintain piping on job sites Skills Proven construction site experience with familiarity in building frameworks or ductwork installations Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, soldering, machining, and sheet metal fabrication Capable of performing basic math calculations necessary for measurements and fitting parts Experience with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy materials safely Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication projects Familiarity with schematics for mechanical systems related to construction or manufacturing environments Embark on a career where your skills build more than just structures — they build your future!
