Sorter Job Description The Sorter plays a key role in assembling medical kits on a production line, ensuring that all components meet quality standards and are packaged accurately and efficiently. This role involves repetitive, fast-paced work, including final packaging and stacking finished products for shipment, while consistently following cleanroom and safety procedures. Responsibilities + Assemble medical kits on the production line according to established procedures and specifications. + Perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and a high level of quality. + Work at a fast pace to meet daily production goals and deadlines. + Complete final packaging of materials, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and sealed. + Stack finished boxes onto pallets in an organized and secure manner for transport and storage. + Lift and move materials and boxes weighing approximately 20-40 pounds throughout the shift. + Support production activities, including packing, picking, and general production support tasks as needed. + Operate basic production and assembly equipment and follow machine operating instructions where applicable. + Work in a cleanroom environment, following all gowning and contamination control procedures. + Inspect materials and assembled kits visually to identify defects or inconsistencies and report issues promptly. + Collaborate with team members on the line to maintain workflow and resolve minor issues. + Follow all safety, cleanliness, and quality guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work area. + Receive and apply feedback constructively to improve performance and maintain high standards. Essential Skills + Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and packaging of medical kits. + Ability to stand on feet for extended periods during the shift. + Good hand dexterity for handling small components and performing repetitive tasks. + Ability to multi-task and manage several production steps in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to lift and handle 20-40 pounds safely and repeatedly. + Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team on a production line. + Comfort with receiving and applying feedback to improve work quality and efficiency. + Experience in production support, assembly line work, or similar manufacturing environments. + Familiarity with packing, picking, and inspection tasks in a production setting. Work Environment This role is based in a state-of-the-art production facility that includes cleanroom areas and modern employee amenities. Team members work on an assembly line in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and frequent movement, including standing for extended periods and lifting 20-40 pounds. The facility features a basketball court, gym/fitness room, and a modernized cafeteria for breaks and wellness. In designated areas, employees follow strict cleanroom and hygiene protocols, including wearing hair nets, beard nets, nitrile gloves, and gowning up depending on the room and process. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and adherence to production and quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.30
  • $26.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
