Position Summary The Plating Process Technician plays a key role in supporting our silver-plating production operations and medical device manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, calibrating, and documenting manufacturing equipment while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This is an on-site position in our Geneva, Illinois facility and includes working with hazardous chemicals while using company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE). What You'll Do Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain plating and manufacturing equipment. Perform equipment calibration, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and documentation activities. Support systems including reverse osmosis, metallizing equipment, wastewater treatment, commercial washers/dryers, HVAC systems, compressors, and other facility equipment. Follow OSHA, quality system (QMS), and environmental regulations. Maintain compliance with waste handling, sampling, disposal, and reporting requirements. Complete required safety and compliance training. Identify and recommend process improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and validation activities as needed. Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to support manufacturing goals. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED, or equivalent manufacturing experience. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Ability to read, write, and document information in English. Ability to wear required PPE, including passing an OSHA-compliant respirator fit test. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or similar industries preferred). Experience following documented processes and quality standards. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience. Key Success Traits Strong communication and teamwork skills. Training & Growth Opportunity Bravida Medical will provide training and support for obtaining a Class K Wastewater Pretreatment Operator License, a valuable professional credential. Work Environment & Physical Requirements 100% on-site at our Geneva, IL campus. Work in manufacturing, warehouse, and controlled production environments. Exposure to manufacturing equipment, airborne particles, and occasionally hazardous chemicals. PPE provided at no cost. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
