General Production Worker Job Description Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you will be trained to perform electronic assembly of switches used in military, government, agriculture, and healthcare sectors. This role requires handling small parts and working with hand tools to build various component parts. You will gather necessary materials and place components onto PC boards with precision. Responsibilities Perform electronic assembly of switches for various sectors. Work with small parts, requiring excellent hand/eye dexterity. Utilize hand tools to build component parts. Gather materials needed for assembly. Place components onto PC boards using small precision hand tools. Work at an individual station, standing or sitting throughout the day. Maintain attention to detail in all tasks. Essential Skills Experience with electronic assembly. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Good hand/eye dexterity. Additional Skills & Qualifications Solder certification is a plus, but not required. Experience with pick and place machines is beneficial and may adjust pay rate. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a manufacturing environment featuring long rows with five workstations in each row. The environment is relaxed yet focused, with expectations of knowing and performing your duties efficiently. Shift times include 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility to start at 5:30 am, and 2nd shift from 3:45 pm to 12:15 am. Expect 3-4 hours of overtime daily, totaling 50-60 hours per week. Temperature checks are conducted at the start and towards the end of each shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Grange, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
