Job Description
Job Summary We are hiring a Graphic Designer for a contract/temporary opportunity in the La Grange, IL area. This is a graphic layout and production-focused role within an advertising and PR services environment, ideal for candidates who enjoy precise, brand-consistent work in a structured, team-oriented setting. This is a non-creative production role where accuracy, consistency, and the ability to follow established templates and direction are essential. Candidates should be comfortable executing assigned layouts without adding personal creative interpretation. The environment is collaborative and deadline-driven, with paid training provided and supportive team guidance during onboarding. This opportunity is a strong fit for an early-career Graphic Designer with 1-2 years of experience who is looking to build production design skills, gain hands-on experience in a professional marketing environment, and contribute to high-volume visual communication projects. Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise graphic layouts according to established brand standards, templates, and production specifications.
- Follow detailed instructions to ensure all work is accurate, consistent, and aligned with approved direction.
- Prepare, adjust, and review files for production readiness while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with team members in an onsite, production-oriented workflow to meet daily deadlines.
- Complete assigned work efficiently during standard business hours and during peak overtime periods as needed.
- Participate in paid training and apply feedback to perform work independently and accurately. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $24 to $26 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/temporary.
- Standard schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Work location: Onsite
- Overtime may be required during peak periods and may include 9
- or 10-hour days, weekends, or both.
- Weekend work is typically communicated in advance.
- Paid training is expected to last approximately 1-2 weeks. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Execute production graphic layouts using provided direction, templates, and brand standards.
- Review layouts and files for accuracy, consistency, and production readiness.
- Work onsite in a team-oriented production environment with strong attention to detail.
- Support peak workload periods that may require overtime, extended shifts, or weekend work.
- 1-2 years of graphic design, graphic layout, or production design experience.
- Ability to follow instructions closely and avoid adding personal creative interpretation to assigned work.
- Proficiency with professional graphic design and layout tools in a Mac-based environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
- Comfortable completing a skills test during the interview process, expected to take approximately one hour and unpaid.
- Must be able to complete and clear a background check before starting.
- Reliable availability for the standard onsite schedule and required overtime during peak periods. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with production design, layout formatting, print graphics, large-format graphics, or event-related visual materials.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience working with brand guidelines, templates, file specifications, and quality control processes.
- Previous experience in a structured agency, marketing, production, print, advertising, or visual communications environment.
