This role is responsible for leading a small team, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining product quality and food safety standards. This is a working lead position — you will be actively involved on the line while guiding the team. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a team of operators and line workers during production Ensure the line is running efficiently to meet daily production targets Perform line start-up, changeovers, and shutdown procedures Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with specifications Complete batch records, production logs, and basic documentation Enforce GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards Troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues and escalate when needed Train new employees and provide on-the-floor guidance Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area Qualifications 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing or production environment Prior experience as a line lead, lead operator, or machine operator preferred Basic understanding of GMP and food safety practices Strong communication and team leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Preferred Experience Experience with batching, mixing, or packaging lines Familiarity with production paperwork and quality checks Mechanical aptitude / ability to troubleshoot equipment Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, temperature changes, etc.) Benefits Competitive hourly pay + overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Growth opportunities into supervisory roles Why Join Us Stable, growing food manufacturing company Opportunity to step into a supervisor role over time Team-oriented environment with hands-on leadership
