$19.00 per hour Position Summary We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team on 1st Shift . This position is responsible for operating punch press equipment to produce quality metal components while maintaining production goals, safety standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and has previous machine operating experience. Training is available for candidates with strong manufacturing backgrounds and a willingness to learn. Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate punch press machines according to production schedules and work instructions. Load raw materials into the machine and remove finished parts safely and efficiently. Monitor machine performance throughout the production run. Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality. Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and basic blueprints. Measure parts using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices. Change tooling and perform minor machine adjustments as needed. Identify machine malfunctions and notify maintenance or supervision when necessary. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Meet daily production quotas while minimizing scrap and downtime. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with other manufacturing duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous punch press or machine operator experience preferred. Manufacturing or metal stamping experience is a plus. Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and gauges. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read work instructions and production documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable attendance and a positive work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds . Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
