Job Description
Job Summary Production assistant daily manufacturing operations by assisting with production packaging and handling of biological products. This position helps ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and according to quality standard while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the production and blending of biological products according to established formulas and procedures. Operate, monitor and clean production equipment following standard operationg procedures. Package, label and prepare finished products for shipment. Load and unload raw materials and finished goods using forklifts. Perform routine quality checks and accurately document production data. Help maintain inventory of raw materials, packaging supplies and finished products. Keep work areas clean and comply with housekeeping standards. Follow all safety policies, and PPE requirements. Assist with Preventative maintenance and equipment changeovers as needed. Work collaboratively with production, maintenance and quality teams to meet production goals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Previous manufacturing, warehouse, agricultural or chemical production experience is preferred but not necessary will train the right person. Ability to drive a forklift (will train if needed) Basic math and recordkeeping skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and able to work with a team Work Environment Manufacturing and warehouse environment May require some overtime Exposure to fertilizer materials, dust, machinery and outdoor conditions while following safety procedures.
