Job Description
Job Title:
Production Operator Job Description As a Production Operator, you will support a variety of processing and packaging activities within a food manufacturing plant. You will help ensure that products are produced efficiently, safely, and in accordance with strict food safety and sanitation standards, while meeting production and packaging requirements. Responsibilities Operate production and packaging equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures. Perform general production tasks such as loading materials, monitoring product flow, and assisting with assembly and packing. Handle packaging activities, including packing finished products, labeling, and preparing items for shipment. Monitor machines during operation to identify and report any issues, and assist in basic machine adjustments when required. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation by following all hygiene, cleaning, and safety protocols. Support general labor tasks within the plant, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Essential Skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks. General production experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. Experience with machine operating in a production or packaging setting (preferred). Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in food manufacturing or packaging is an advantage. Comfort working with production machinery and learning new equipment and processes. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. Work Environment This role is based in a food manufacturing environment that follows strict food safety and sanitation standards. You will work around production and packaging machinery, forklifts, and related equipment, and you will be expected to follow all safety and hygiene protocols appropriate to a food processing facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Robinson, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
