Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring parts are made to customer prints and specifications by monitoring CNC Laser equipment, performing quality inspections and correcting machine issues that affect the quality of the parts with direction from Leads and Operators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Laser Operators in the efficient processing, delivery and removal of material to and from the laser machines. Operate handling equipment to load and unload material to/from the CNC Laser Equipment. Monitor machine when operator is not present and ensure its continued operation; load/unload material and check for general acceptable cut condition of completed parts. Assist operators with loading and packaging laser cut parts into boxes. Use quality tools, such as tape measure, calipers, and micrometers to conduct quality inspection of parts. Accurately complete quality inspection reports throughout the shift. Assist in the secondary operations required to complete parts (tapping, cleaning, grinding). Follow all health & safety standards.
Position Requirements:
Good mechanical aptitude
  • manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus.
Experience in the use of standard shop tools and inspection measuring tools, such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to read blueprints/ shop drawings is a plus. Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout work schedule, 6-8 hours per day. Ability to regularly maneuver up to 50 pounds.
