Job Description

Univertical LLC is looking for Metal Production Operators for our Angola facility. Univertical has been serving the worldwide plating industry since 1938 with the highest quality, highest purity, and best customer service. Univertical truly is the global benchmark of quality. 12 hour shift-Sunday Night - Wednesday Night. Training will be on day shift M-Th up to 60 days.
Plus Shift Premium, Attendance Bonus Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation & Material Handling:
  • Operate assigned production equipment in accordance with established process parameters and standard operating procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required to support production activities.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished goods into production equipment following standard work instructions.
  • Support equipment changeovers and setup activities in accordance with documented procedures.
Production Monitoring & Quality Control:
  • Monitor production processes to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform in-process checks and basic inspections to verify product meets established quality standards.
  • Identify and report abnormal conditions, process deviations, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate production records, downtime logs, and equipment checklists.
Safety, Compliance & 6
S Standards:
  • Follow all safety protocols, environmental requirements, plant policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 6S methodology.
  • Participate in safety meetings, required training, and compliance initiatives.
  • Properly use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintenance & Continuous Improvement:
  • Perform basic autonomous maintenance activities including cleaning, inspection, and lubrication.
  • Report equipment issues, material shortages, or damaged tools to supervision.
  • Support tools, materials, and spare parts control by properly storing and handling equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support operational efficiency efforts.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with production team members to maintain workflow and meet production targets.
  • Support other operational areas as needed to ensure overall plant performance.
Qualifications:
    Education :
    High School diploma or GED equivalent
      Experience :
      Prior manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
        Skills & Competencies:
        • Reliable attendance record
        • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills
        • Good Time management skills and ability to follow standardized work instructions
        • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
        • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, and work instructions, and safety procedures.
        • Knowledge of 6S methodology or willingness to support and learn
        Physical Requirements:
        • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
        • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and manual material handling
        • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with moving equipment and elevated noise levels
        Working Conditions:
        Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to dust, noise, and material handling equipment. Mandatory use of PPE.

        Progress through operator skill levels Participate in periodic certification and refresher training Support knowledge sharing and standardization
