Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the manufacturing and assembly of custom retractable structures at our Crown Point, Indiana facility. This role is integral to the production team, focusing on manufacturing components safely, assembling products, preparing materials for shipment, and supporting installation activities when required. This position offers opportunities to develop skills in manufacturing, equipment operation, assembly, and field installation support. Based in Crown Point, Indiana, but must be open to travel when needed for installation support nationwide (few days to a maximum of 3 weeks). Responsibilities Manufacture and assemble aluminum components and structural systems according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Operate machinery and equipment used to cut, drill, machine, and prepare aluminum components. Safely use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment. Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and other approved equipment. Prepare finished products and materials for shipment. Support installation activities and field operations as needed. Read and interpret basic drawings, measurements, and production documentation. Maintain accurate work quality and follow established manufacturing procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow OSHA requirements and all company safety policies. Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project requirements. Perform other manufacturing and production duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math and measurement skills. Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms when required. Ability to work in a physically active manufacturing environment. Experience Required 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, assembly, carpentry, or a related field preferred. Experience operating forklifts, power tools, or manufacturing equipment is preferred. Experience reading construction drawings, shop drawings, or production prints is a plus but not required. Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to safely work from ladders and elevated work platforms. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors when supporting installation activities. Comfortable working at heights when required. Travel Requirements This position requires overnight travel for installation support and field operations as needed. Travel duration may range from several days to multiple weeks depending on project requirements.
