Job Description

Overview AE Techron is a world leader in wide bandwidth power electronics for Test Labs, Research Institutions, and EMC industries. Our customers are Fortune 500 companies and leading research labs around the globe. AE Techron products are recognized as being robust, technically superior, and very well supported. We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Builder & Test System Assembler to support the manufacturing of high-performance power amplifiers. This role involves mechanical assembly, electrical integration, and cabinet construction to ensure products meet our rigorous quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, quality-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. This position will report directly to the production supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Assembly Assemble power amplifier units according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and build documentation Install wiring harness, connectors, and electronic components with precision Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively Test System Assembly Assemble amplifier cabinets, enclosures, and chassis components Perform drilling, fastening, fitting, and alignment of cabinet parts Mount internal assemblies, panels, and hardware within enclosures Ensure cosmetic and structural quality of finished cabinets meets company standards Quality & Testing Inspect assemblies for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to specifications Perform basic functional checks and assist with product testing as required Identify defects, troubleshoot build issues, and report discrepancies Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail Documentation & Processes Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines Accurately complete production records and documentation Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and quality Team Collaboration Communicate issues or improvement ideas effectively Support cross-training and assist in other production areas as needed
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 yrs experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field Experience using hand and power tools Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and schematics Strong attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step instructions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on feet for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with power amplifiers, audio equipment, or similar products Basic understanding of electrical components and wiring Understanding of basic electronics (voltage, current, resistance, power) Comfortable working with high voltage and high-power circuits

Work Environment:
Manufacturing/production floor setting Exposure to tools, equipment, and light industrial noice
Anticipated Compensation Range:
