Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stamping Press Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining stamping presses to produce high-quality metal components efficiently and safely. Your expertise in machine operation, precision measurement, and metal fabrication will ensure that production goals are met while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor stamping presses to produce metal parts according to technical specifications and blueprints. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to ensure proper tooling and machine setup. Perform routine inspections of stamping tools, dies, and press equipment to maintain optimal performance and safety. Utilize measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools for quality control and measurement verification. Adjust machine settings, tooling, and forming machines as needed to meet production specifications. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools, cranes, and other shop equipment during operation. Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from standards. Maintain detailed records of machine operation, maintenance activities, and quality checks for traceability. Qualifications Proven experience operating stamping presses or similar manufacturing machinery in a metal fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math. Proficiency with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), press brake machines, and welding is highly desirable. Familiarity with measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in machining tool setup and measurement accuracy. Mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, tooling setup, fabrication processes, and assembly techniques.
