If you take pride in precision finishes and enjoy hands-on work with a collaborative crew, this role puts your craftsmanship front and center. A Day in the Life Start your shift by staging parts and reviewing work instructions and quality standards for the day's jobs. Prepare metal surfaces with cleaning, sanding, deburring, and other finishing steps to ensure an ideal substrate. Apply powder finishes using electrostatic spray equipment, dialing in settings for consistent coverage. Verify results by monitoring coating thickness, coverage, and appearance; perform touch-ups as needed. Troubleshoot defects and correct surface-prep issues to maintain top-tier quality. Document production counts and scrap accurately and on time. Care for your workspace by cleaning booths, maintaining equipment, and completing routine preventive maintenance. Support the line with part staging, material moves, and collaboration with fabrication and production teammates. Work safely with powders, chemicals, ventilation systems, and manufacturing equipment at all times. What You Bring Required High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of powder coating experience Comfort with common hand tools Strong attention to detail and quality Self-directed, organized work style Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs Preferred Metal fabrication background Ability to read manufacturing drawings/blueprints Forklift experience Prior work in a production/manufacturing setting
