STAMPING OPERATOR

Wed-Fri 6p-6a
Summary/Objective:
The Stamping Operator will be responsible for operating stamping presses, performing in-process quality inspections. Essential Functions /
Responsibilities:
Read and maintain a shared shift report throughout the work day. Use Samtec systems to record production data, inventory quantities and confirm quality. Use SFC to locate, print an order and enter daily production numbers. Follow detailed work instructions and quality guidelines Use Samtec's internal Inventory Suite to make labels, reprint labels, and void labels Pull up print in Print View to verify revision and winding specifics Enter Auto-Tech for needed maintenance or tool changes Use PRISM to record downtime events and change press status. Inspections Perform visual inspections Must be familiar with standard inspection equipment and gauges for precision measurements Enter an Auto-Tech for any non-conformity found by the inspector Must be able to communicate quality issues verbally. Must be able to manage time to minimize shut down for breaks and lunches. Physical demands include lifting 40 pounds from the floor to a height of 4 feet and standing for 10 or more hours each shift. Required Experience :
2+ years' experience in a manufacturing or stamping facility is preferred Individual must be able to stand for 12-hour shift and will be subject to loud environment. Hearing protection will be available to the associate. Some simple mechanical experience is a plus.
Preferred Education:
