Value Stream Lead- Direct Hire!
Pay:
$23.64/hour
Shift:
1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Position Overview Zing Recruiting is seeking a Value Stream Lead for the Lamination Department. This position is responsible for leading and participating in daily lamination production while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met. Production & Quality Oversee daily lamination processes and ensure production and quality standards are met. Monitor adhesive rates, temperatures, pressure levels, cutter specifications, and equipment settings. Inspect finished products and identify quality issues. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues with lamination equipment. Coordinate printer programming and labeling for printed materials. Leadership & Team Support Lead, coach, and support lamination team members throughout the shift. Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and production issues. Train new employees and ensure standard work procedures are followed. Assign employees based on production needs and skill levels. Inventory & Materials Monitor raw materials, supplies, and finished goods within the lamination department. Ensure materials are properly staged and stored for production and downstream departments. Assist with and coordinate regular inventory counts. Maintenance & Reporting Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance for lamination equipment and auxiliary systems. Communicate recurring equipment issues and quality concerns to management. Prepare production summaries and departmental reports as needed. Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by the Production or Plant Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Basic math skills. Basic mechanical aptitude. Experience with Lean Manufacturing practices. Knowledge of tow motor operations. Ability to read gauges, weight scales, and tape measures. Ability to operate and work around various types of manufacturing equipment. Knowledge of workplace safety procedures. Ability to operate industrial sewing machines, heat sealers, grommeting machines, and rewinders is a plus. Knowledge of Six Sigma, CAPA, and Lean Manufacturing practices preferred. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Manufacturing environment with moderate noise and operating machinery. Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day. Must be able to kneel, bend, twist, reach, and flex as required. Position involves manual labor and lifting up to 50 pounds .
