General Production - Amarr - Lawrence, KS A general production worker will work on an assembly line in various roles to produce garage doors. You will be responsible to complete production orders safely and accurately in a timely manner. You will be trained and perform a variety of entry level positions. After training some roles will rotate positions frequently and others rarely.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of hand/power tools.
• Ability to learn product, work well under pressure, and be mechanically inclined with the ability to operate hand/power tools.

Standing/Walking:

Job requires standing throughout the entire shift. Short distance walking of 5-15 feet on a periodic basis during the shift, depending upon the position assigned.

• Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting: Job requires lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels. Maximum required individual lifting limit is forty-five (45) lbs.
• Must be able to safely work with another team member to carry or lift door panels in excess of forty-five (45) lbs.
• Frequency of lifting and carrying is job task dependent and can be continual.

Pushing and Pulling:

Pushing of carts is frequently required. Frequent pulling to steer the cart is required (appropriate training techniques will be covered on this area for your safety). A force of forty-five (45) lbs. is often required to move a loaded cart. Pushing forces in excess of forty-five (45) lbs. requires two people.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift 45 lbs. unassisted with or without reasonable accommodation, continuously and frequently overhead. Lifting of more than 45 lbs requires team lifting of at least 2 people.
• Continuously and/or frequently required to lift, carry, push, or pull objects ranging from 45 lbs. to 80 lbs. Weights over 45 lbs. require teamwork of at least 2 people.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time (8-12 hours daily).
• Must be able to move about the manufacturing floor safely and efficiently.
• Bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs and/or ladders may be required for specific work tasks.
• Ability to perform tasks that require using hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Ability to work in loud, fast paced industrial environment.
• Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination with hand/power tools.
• Frequent work in tight and confined spaces.
• Frequent use of ladders and work in high spaces.
• Frequent use of computer, keyboard, tablet, and/or scanner may be required for specific work tasks.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
