General Production Worker Job Description As a General Production Worker, you will work on an assembly line producing high-quality garage doors. This role involves completing production orders accurately, safely, and efficiently while learning multiple workstations through cross-training opportunities. Individuals with manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Assemble and manufacture garage door components according to production requirements. Complete production orders accurately and meet productivity goals. Learn product specifications and manufacturing processes. Stand for extended periods and move throughout the production area as needed. Lift and stack door panels weighing up to 45 lbs. Work with team members to safely handle heavier materials. Push carts and move materials throughout the facility. Enter production information and complete reporting using a computer or tablet. Follow all safety procedures and quality standards. Qualifications Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team. Manufacturing, production, or inventory experience preferred. Experience using hand and power tools preferred. Basic computer and data entry skills. Forklift experience is a plus. Certification must be obtained within 45 days of hire. Physical Requirements Ability to stand throughout the entire shift. Frequent bending, stooping, walking, carrying, and lifting.
