Join our dedicated team and be a part of delivering superior windows to our valued customers. Manko Window Systems, Inc. is seeking an individual for the position of Production Laborer
  • Glass Department in Manhattan, Kansas. Production Laborer
  • Glass Department involves assembling and fabricating glass products in a warehouse setting using power tools, hand tools, and mechanical knowledge. A Production Laborer
  • Glass Department Employee could be placed in one of several sub departments, such as, Cut Table, Tempering, Lamination, Insulated Glass, and/or Quality Control. This is a full-time non-exempt position reporting to the Department Supervisor & Glass Production Manager requiring 40+ Hours a week. Typical Production Laborer
  • Glass Department schedule is approximately Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm with overtime as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities :
Assist in the assembly and production of glass products according to established specifications and guidelines. Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment in adherence to safety protocols. Handle glass with precision, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the production process. Perform meticulous quality checks on finished products to identify any defects or imperfections. Collaborate closely with the production team to achieve daily and weekly production targets. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to optimize efficiency and safety. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times. Strong attention to detail. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Organized and have an eye for detail High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read a tape measure and complete basic numerical calculations Operate small hand tools, chop saw, punch press, overhead crane, etc. Maintain high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments Basic mechanical aptitude Be able to read English and do basic math Must work well on a team
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Physical Requirements:
Be able to lift up to 90lbs Be able to stand or walk up to 12 hours a day Be able to walk, reach forward, and have bilateral hand coordination frequently Must wear all required
