Job Description

We are a steel-mill manufacturing company seeking dependable and motivated Production Associates to join our growing team. Job Responsibilities Perform physical demanding general labor and steel-processing duties Operate industrial equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, roll-off trucks, banding machines, excavators, and off-road articulated trucks Learn multiple positions and cross-train throughout the operation Lift, push, pull up to 85 lbs Work scheduled weekends and overtime when required, including Saturdays and Sundays Specific to Lancing Operations as follows. Ability to operate an oxygen/magnesium cutting torch, cutting large pieces of scrap steel materials Specific to Lancing Operations. You must maintain a clean-shaven face for filter mask seal. Be fit tested for respirator and pass breathing test. Have Chromium Level testing regularly (blood screening) pre-qualification Perform other duties as needed to support our customers and team Qualifications Strong attendance and dependability Ability to safely perform heavy physical work Ability to work 8+ hours on your feet in all weather conditions Ability to lift, push, pull up to 85 lbs Required valid driver's license for site access and to operate company machinery Must have the ability to hear and respond to verbal instructions, safety alarms, equipment signals, and other audible warnings in a noisy industrial environment Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Safety is our priority. Due to steel-mill environment, team members are required to wear significant personal protective equipment (PPE) and complete site-specific safety requirements: Metatarsal safety boots Complete required NAS safety training Obtain a NAS site-access badge Valid driver's license required for site access and to operate company machinery Successfully complete respirator fit testing and breathing test. Maintain a clean-shaven face when required for respirator seal Complete required chromium exposure/level testing (blood screening) Successfully complete all required site qualifications and training Benefits Insurance benefits start the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Additional benefits start as soon as the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment PTO, 401k w/ company match, Holiday pay, Bereavement, Jury Duty, Referral Bonus etc. Company provided uniforms, and Safety Boot program (yearly) upon 60 days of employment Hands on training for assigned job duties.
