Job Description

Production Associate Production Team Member- Calvert Steel Contracting LLC Starting Pay:
$20-$25/hr
Location:
Ghent, KY 41045 (We are only considering candidates residing within a 30-mile radius of Ghent, KY at this time) At Calvert Steel Contracting LLC, is seeking Team Members who possess the ability to function in general labor operations, operate equipment, this may include skid steers, forklifts, roll off trucks, banding machines, excavators, and off-road articulated trucks. Additionally, they could operate an oxygen/magnesium cutting torch, cutting large pieces of scrap steel materials. We provide services that assist with recycling materials to be repurposed in the stainless-steel manufacturing process. Priorities change at times based on our customers' needs and we must accept that we need to pivot / rotate to other tasks / jobs when this occurs. Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening. Pre-employment requirement you must have Leather, Steel Toe / Metatarsal Guard Boots, these are required to enter the site. Complete NAS Safety training for onsite access allowing you receive NAS access badge (Drivers License required) Understanding & acceptance of this condition of employment, we work a rotational schedule which includes weekends, specifically Saturdays and Sundays, when scheduled you are expected to be at work. Willing to work overtime as needed. (With little notice at times.) Ability to be on your feet 8+ hours per day and work in all types of weather conditions. Ability to lift, push, pull and maintain control of 85 pounds consistently throughout the shift. Experience is preferred but not required. Ability to operate equipment, this may include skid steers, forklifts, roll off trucks, banding machines, excavators, off-road articulated trucks. Specific to Lancing Operations as follows. Ability to operate an oxygen/magnesium cutting torch, cutting large pieces of scrap steel materials. Specific to Lancing Operations. You must maintain a clean-shaven face for filter mask seal. Be fit tested for respirator and pass breathing test. Have Chromium Level testing regularly (blood test) pre-qualification.

Company provided site required PPE (1st day of employment). Additional job site training to equip staff for growth as opportunities are available.
