Job Description
Job Summary The Production Associate is responsible for safely producing high-quality components while meeting established production standards. This role operates and monitors various manufacturing equipment and follows standardized work instructions to ensure consistency and efficiency. Working in a team-based, piece-by-piece production environment, the Production Associate supports continuous workflow by maintaining material flow, inspecting product quality, and contributing to overall line performance. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality requirements, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. The position is physically demanding, requiring standing for the duration of the shift and flexibility to perform a variety of tasks across different processes and equipment. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Perform start-up checks (sub lines only).
- Utilize factory supplies as required; perform material identification and use materials per SOP.
- Perform process and machine adjustments in alignment with SOP requirements.
- Participate in all training programs provided.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures; consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform all tasks safely.
- Record hourly production output; review weekly process charts and maintain scrap and efficiency metrics.
- Execute die changes according to the production schedule.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks, including weld tip and saw blade changes.
- Follow standardized operating procedures (SOP) to complete all assigned processes.
- Inspect components throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Ensures all environmental (ISO-14001) policy initiatives and procedures are adhered to.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement; contribute ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area; participate in daily housekeeping activities.
- Follow direction from leadership, collaborate effectively with team members, and maintain a respectful and professional work environment.
- Support cross-training efforts and maintain flexibility to perform various tasks, shifts, or work assignments as needed.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or leadership. Required Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
