3005092477-2 Apply for this job now Job Description ALPLA Inc. is seeking a Downstream Engineer to support our innovative plastic packaging and recycling operations. In this role, you'll operate and optimize downstream equipment on high-speed manufacturing lines, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production of high-quality bottles and closures. You will troubleshoot issues, perform basic preventive maintenance, and collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams. Working in ALPLA's safety- and sustainability-focused environment, you'll contribute to continuous improvement, training, and long-term operational reliability in a global, family-owned company. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and adjust downstream equipment on extrusion and molding lines to meet production targets. Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Inspect product quality, document results, and follow corrective actions when nonconformities arise. Follow safety, housekeeping, and 5 S standards in all production areas. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve process stability and efficiency. Support changeovers, setups, and trials for new products and packaging designs. Accurately record production, scrap, and downtime data in plant systems.
