Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Break Helper to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist in operating and setting up press brake machines used for sheet metal forming, ensuring precision and safety throughout the production process. Your energetic approach and mechanical aptitude will contribute to efficient fabrication workflows, supporting the creation of high-quality aluminum components for various applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in metal fabrication and machining while working in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Assist with the setup and operation of press brake machines to bend aluminum sheet metal according to technical specifications and blueprints Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met Support machine operators in tooling changes, adjustments, and calibration of forming machines Follow safety protocols diligently during all machine operations and handling of sheet metal materials Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication requirements Use hand tools and fabrication equipment to assist with cutting, forming, or assembling metal parts as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety standards are adhered to at all times Qualifications Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, or metal fabrication preferred Experience with shop math, measurement techniques, and blueprint reading is highly desirable Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to operate hand tools, measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, and basic shop machinery Mechanical knowledge related to press brake operation, tooling setup, and sheet metal forming techniques Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and measurement accuracy Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in machining and fabrication processes Join us in contributing to precision manufacturing by supporting our skilled operators in creating top-quality metal components.
