Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring a Engineering Project Specialist to work out of our office in Waggaman, LA. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the complex and diverse activities of customer jobs. This position serves as a liaison between Estimating, Sales, and Production to ensure customer requirements are satisfied and fulfilled.
Essential Duties:
Assume responsibility for purchase orders once received by the sales team. Works with the sales team member that is responsible for that customer to understand what the job entails and how best to approach the most efficient process for each individual job. Establish communication with customers to devise a job schedule that best suits the project's needs and works within current production schedule. Create fabrication-ready production drawings with BOM from customer contract drawings, ensuring compatibility with current shop capabilities. Review production drawings for inaccuracies, potential clashes, and fabrication or design errors; prepare and compile submittal packages for customer review and approval. Completion of operational requirements by scheduling product releases according to current production lead times. Keep clients informed throughout the life of the project—from job review and drawing development through the submittal process, fabrication, quality checks, and shipment of the finished product.
Ideal Candidate:
Project Management Production drawing comprehension Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Familiarity with steel fabrication processes and shop practices Strong Organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Customer Relationship Management Days/Shift:
Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
