Job Title:
General Production Worker Pay $20 Entry level Job Description This role involves supporting production operations in an industrial environment by handling materials, preparing parts for powder coating and shot blasting, assisting machine operators, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. You will work on the production floor performing a variety of hands-on tasks that require attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Responsibilities Understand and follow training related to personal protective equipment (PPE) required for each task. Lift materials and place hooks for powder coating and shot-blast operations using electric chain falls. Stand on a 47-inch high platform to guide assemblies onto load bars for powder coating and shot-blast operations while using fall prevention equipment. Use dual-action sanders to deburr parts and remove debris from surfaces. Mark parts accurately using handheld dot peen devices or inkjet printers. Measure parts and record data using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. Move parts safely using manual pallet jacks. Package parts using manual banding equipment to prepare them for shipment or further processing. Assist machine operators by placing materials and removing finished parts, without operating the machines directly. Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping and cleaning the workstation to maintain a safe and organized work area. Essential Skills Recent experience working in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Reliable work habits and the ability to respond to verbal direction on the production floor. Previous experience in an industrial environment. Ability to work 1st shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working with hand tools and basic production equipment such as sanders, pallet jacks, and banding tools. Ability to read measurements and use micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. Attention to detail when marking, measuring, and packaging parts. Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of PPE and fall prevention equipment. Willingness to assist others on the team and support machine operators. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in an open industrial building with active production operations. Work is performed on the shop floor around machinery, materials, and production equipment, including platforms and fall prevention systems. Shifts include 1st shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with tasks that involve standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout the day. Employees use tools such as electric chain falls, dual-action sanders, manual pallet jacks, manual banding equipment, and measurement devices, and are expected to follow all safety and PPE requirements appropriate to each task. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
