In our Molding Department at our Medway, M.A facility, you will support manufacturing operations by assembling, preparing, and casting insulators used in nVent products. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in a hands-on production environment, and the ability to accurately measure and handle liquid materials as part of the casting process.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION
- Assemble and cast insulators used in nVent products.
- Prepare sleeves, inserts, and other components for insulator casting operations.
- Sandblast sleeves and inserts to support casting preparation.
- Sandblast and grind insulators according to process requirements.
- Accurately measure, mix, and handle liquid materials used in the casting process.
- Use hand tools, measuring tools, sanders, grinders, compressed air tools, and sandblasting equipment safely and effectively.
- Read and follow work instructions, SOPs, tape measurements, and blueprints to complete production tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety and quality standards.
YOU HAVE
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, casting, or hands-on industrial environment preferred.
- Experience accurately measuring, mixing, or handling liquids in a manufacturing or production setting required.
- Ability to read tape measures, basic blueprints, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Ability to use hand tools, cleaning equipment, compressed air tools, sanders, grinders, sandblasting units, ratchet straps, stencils, rubber hammers, and overhead cranes as needed.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
- Ability to calculate and interpret common tape measurements.
- Ability to read and understand simple to moderately complex instructions.
- Ability to write notes or simple correspondence and effectively communicate with co-workers.
- Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.
- Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.
- This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
- Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures.
