Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cutting Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating cutting and converting machinery to produce high-quality printed materials. Your expertise will ensure that production standards are met efficiently, safely, and with precision. Responsibilities Operate Finishing/Cutting machines and other industrial equipment to cut, trim, and shape paper products according to detailed production documents and specifications Interpret manufacturing and printing documents accurately to ensure precise cuts and packaging dimensions Adjust machinery settings and perform routine maintenance to optimize machine performance and product quality Conduct dimensional measurements and quality checks throughout the production process to meet strict quality standards in production Handle manual tasks such as loading raw materials, stacking finished products, and ensuring proper packaging of paper products Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly by applying mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime Adhere strictly to safety protocols in production areas, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of industrial equipment Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine adjustments, and quality inspections for manufacturing management review Experience Proven experience operating converting machines, flexo presses, or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to make adjustments on machinery as needed Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and a commitment to safety protocol adherence Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to dimensions, weights, and quantities Knowledge of prepress processes, printing techniques, and quality standards in production is highly desirable Experience with forklift operation is a plus for handling raw materials and finished goods efficiently Ability to interpret complex production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions effectively Join our team as a Cutting Operator where your technical skills will directly impact the quality of our products.
