At Starbase, we're on a mission to become the most trusted name in cannabis — and we're looking for hands-on, detail-driven people to help us get there. As a Production Technician at our state-of-the-art Pittsfield facility, you won't be stuck doing one repetitive task all day. You'll cross-train across every stage of production — pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, and packaging — building a versatile skill set that opens doors across the cannabis industry. Why you'll want this job: A predictable 4-day workweek. Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm. Three-day weekends, every week. Real cross-training, not just a job title. You'll rotate through grinding and pre-roll production, vape filling, edibles (extraction, infusion, baking), and packaging — building skills that make you more valuable over time, not less. A team that means it about values. Integrity, accountability, problem-solving, and teamwork aren't posters on the wall here — they're how we actually operate day to day. Ground floor of something growing. You'll be part of shaping what craft cannabis looks like in New England, on a team that's still building. What you'll actually be doing: Production Grind flower and run equipment for pre-roll production Fill vape pens with precision and care Support extraction, infusion, and baking processes for our edibles line Packaging & Prep Package pre-rolls, flower, and edibles into finished, retail-ready product Label everything accurately and in line with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) requirements Run quality checks before anything ships to packaging Weigh and portion product with consistency Facility & Inventory Support Keep your workstation and the facility clean and compliant Set up materials and equipment at the start of each shift Help receive, store, and track inventory Jump in on loading/unloading deliveries when needed Compliance & Documentation Follow all SOPs and CCC regulations for handling cannabis products Keep accurate production, packaging, and inventory records (including METRC) Flag discrepancies or issues to your supervisor right away Team Work shoulder-to-shoulder with your team to hit daily production goals Speak up early about workflow snags, challenges, or equipment needs What you bring: Ability to obtain a Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration Card (we'll walk you through this if you haven't done it before) High school diploma or GED preferred Experience in warehouse, packaging, kitchen/food production, or cannabis environments is a plus — not required Sharp attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, precision work Basic math skills for weighing and measuring Familiarity with METRC or similar tracking systems a plus, not a must Comfort with strict safety and compliance standards Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet, bending and moving through a full shift Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with strong plant odors and a temperature-controlled setting Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands described reflect what's typically required to perform this role successfully.
