2nd Shift General Production Worker Job Description This entry-level manufacturing role offers hands-on experience in a clean, safety-focused environment on the 2nd shift. You will support production by operating basic machines, handling small parts, and performing routine tasks that contribute to high-quality precision components used in medical, aerospace, and electronics applications. Second (2nd) shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday Responsibilities Load and unload small parts efficiently and safely to support continuous production flow. Operate basic production and manufacturing machines after receiving on-the-job training. Use hand tools and basic equipment to assist with general production tasks. Perform assembly tasks as needed to build or complete precision components. Inspect parts visually and with basic tools to ensure they meet quality standards. Follow simple, clearly defined instructions, processes, and standard operating procedures. Assist with packaging and packing finished parts according to specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift. Work effectively in a cleanroom or controlled production environment when required. Communicate any issues, defects, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Essential Skills Ability to load and unload small parts with care and attention to detail. Ability to operate basic machines and production equipment after training. Comfort working in general production, general labor, and manufacturing environments. Capability to perform basic assembly, inspection, and packaging tasks. Ability to follow simple instructions, processes, and standard operating procedures accurately. Strong focus on quality and consistency in inspecting parts and finished products. Reliability and dependability in attendance and performance on 2nd shift. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.90 - $18.90/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
