Job Description

Job Overview The Local Seen by Plymouth Area Community Access Television is a dynamic nonprofit community access media center serving the towns of Plymouth, Pembroke, Kingston, and Duxbury, MA. The Local Seen provides community, government, and educational television and online coverage, media training for our member towns, offers community workspaces and collaboration spaces, and holds workshops and art events. The IT and Production Assistant (ITPA) reports to the Government Services Manager (GSM) and provides support across all phases of information technology and video production as assigned, including studio and field shoots, community events, education access, outreach events, government meetings, and social media. The ITPA provides IT and systems support as directed, working directly with the IT Specialist and other appropriate staff to troubleshoot Windows PCs, maintain studio workstations, diagnose hardware/software issues, and support local network reliability. The ITPA is a camera operator for government, education, and community video projects as assigned using Adobe Creative Cloud. The ITPA trains community members, interns, and volunteers on the proper use of video equipment, with a specific focus on DJI Osmo Pocket 3 gimbal camera for field shoots. Regular hours for this role are Monday
  • Thursday 12:00
  • 8:00 PM, and Fridays 10:00 AM
  • 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required for productions, events and weekend shoots (no more than two per month).
The ITPA also performs other duties and projects as assigned. Requirements Strong working knowledge of Windows PCs, hardware diagnostics, and basic IT networking principles. 2-3 years' experience in television production or related field, working knowledge of video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment. Adobe Premiere Pro Video Editing Experience Knowledge of vMix Live Video Streaming Software a plus Experience with Blackmagic design equipment ( primarilySDI video routers and Hyperdeck backup recorders) and NDI tools app suite Familiarity with broadcast automations systems, specifically TelVue HyperCaster, and live production switchers like TriCasters a plus Ability to adapt and work with sudden changes in day to day or routine operations Must be computer and social media literate. Experience working with a diverse group of people. Ability to work independently.

$22.50 per hour
