MAIN PURPOSE

: Operates loaders, crushing equipment, dust collectors, conveyors, moves and loads rail cars, during operation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES

Operates crushing system or loads rail cars with concentrate, practices good housekeeping Operates DCS system to start, stop, monitor, and adjust equipment for proper operation of the crushing equipment Uses shovels, hoses, slings, hand tools, to clean areas and performs minor maintenance Operates end loaders, forklifts, rail car mover, overhead cranes, rock breaker, and pick-up trucks Performs routine maintenance, including lubrication, of the crusher system and mobile equipment and operates within environmental permits Completes daily Pre-Task Hazard Assessments, daily inspects work area and corrects any potential hazards Inspects fire extinguishers, safety showers, and emergency lighting for proper operation Cleans working, storage and other areas as required May be required to train or assist in training of others Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Previous crusher, concentrator, mobile equipment experiences preferred

HSEC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Everyone in the workplace is responsible for his or her own safety and for the safety of their co-workers. Report, as soon as practicable to their Manager any situations where HSEC requirements are not being conformed to within their work area Avoid endangerment to any other person through any act or omission Only use equipment you are trained to use and operate the equipment in a way that is safe, protects the environment and doesn't cause undue community impacts. Participate in HSEC training provided to them Report all incidents; including but not limited to injuries, near miss, community interactions and impacts, environmental impacts, spills, unsafe work practices, etc.
