What You'll DoFeed books/signatures into machinePack books into cartonsSafely move materials/books to and from workstationPerform hand operations as requiredWork as part of a team to hit daily production goalsInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standardsFollow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspaceWhat We're Looking ForNo bindery experience? No problem—we'll train you.
We're looking for people who:
Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experienceAbility to read and comprehend instructionsAbility to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsBasic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring deviceBasic problem-solving skillsAre mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic toolsCan read basic job instructions and measurements Take pride in doing quality workShow up reliably and work well with a teamIt's a plus if you have:
Print, bindery, or finishing experienceExperience setting up or adjusting production equipmentPhysical & Work EnvironmentOn your feet for most of the shiftFast-paced, team-oriented production floorLift up to 20 lbs occasionallyWhy Join Sheridan?
