Position Summary The General Production Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involved in the processing, packaging, and production of Gielow Pickles products. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment while following all safety, quality, sanitation, and production requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform general production duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Lead. Assist with the processing, preparation, packaging, and handling of food products. Operate production equipment and machinery safely after receiving proper training. Inspect products for quality, appearance, and proper packaging. Sort, trim, cut, weigh, fill, pack, label, or otherwise process products as required. Load and unload materials, supplies, containers, and finished products. Keep work areas, equipment, and production lines clean and organized. Follow all food safety, sanitation, GMP, and company procedures. Follow production schedules and work instructions. Accurately complete required production or quality paperwork. Identify and report product quality issues, equipment problems, or safety concerns to a supervisor. Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors to meet production goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements The General Production Worker must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and use hands and arms. Lift and carry materials and products as required by the position. Perform repetitive motions for extended periods. Work in varying temperatures and conditions commonly found in a food-processing facility. Safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Environment This position is performed in a food manufacturing/processing environment and may involve: Exposure to wet and damp conditions. Varying temperatures. Noise from production equipment. Working around machinery and moving equipment. Exposure to food products, cleaning chemicals, and sanitizing agents in accordance with established safety procedures. Qualifications Previous manufacturing or food-processing experience is helpful but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work as part of a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow food safety and workplace safety procedures. Willingness to learn new tasks and equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Schedule Work schedules may vary depending on production needs. Employees must be willing and able to work their assigned schedule, including overtime, weekends, or different shifts when required.
Pay:
$17.87 - $19.05 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
