Position Overview:
Safely operates machines or tools performing one or more repetitive assembly duties in manufacturing operations to mass produce parts-in-process or finished product.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Operate drill presses, saws, lathe, Bridgeport's, mill machines and hand tools
  • Responsible for inspecting, assembling, packaging of parts and products
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and notifying supervisors of needs
  • Verifies all safety features are in place prior to starting any job
  • Selects stock for current job process according to specifications
  • Responsible for tool changeovers and set-ups
  • Maintain consistent production levels with conformance to job specifications
  • Pulls damaged or ineffective product or equipment and brings to supervisors attention
  • General housekeeping of work area
  • Assist shipping and receiving as needed
  • Assist with grounds maintenance as needed
  • Work Over Time as required
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Education / Certification o Basic math and reading skills required
  • Knowledge & Experience o Knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions o Ability to interpret machine gauges o Fluent in English and the ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
  • Personal Attributes o Ability & willingness to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions o Good attendance a must
  • Other Skills / Abilities o Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally o Ability to lift up to 20lbs often o Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, kneel as needed to perform job functions o Ability to work independently after receiving instructions o Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers and supervisors
